Witchcraft in the church

It’s not uncommon to see straight up witchcraft practiced in the church today. Satan masquerades like an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14)
Jeremiah 23 has a strong word against false prophets. Context: there were prophets and priests misleading the people. God sent Jeremiah to call them out for inventing their own messages that did not come from God.
“I did not send these prophets, yet they ran with a message. I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied. If they had really stood in my council, they would have enabled my people to hear my words and would have turned them back from their evil ways and their evil deeds.” Jer 23:21-22
“I am against the prophets- the Lord’s declaration -who use their own tongues to make a declaration. I am against those who prophesy false dreams- the Lord’s declaration -telling them and leading my people astray with their falsehoods and boasting. It was not I who sent or commanded them, and they were of no benefit at all to these people- this is the Lord’s declaration.” Jer 23:31-32
Be careful whose word you ingest. Be careful who you allow to speak over you “in the name of the Lord”. False prophets are among us.
God speaks to us directly through His written word and by His Holy Spirit. Yes, He can speak a word through someone to us. But beware of those practicing fortune telling dressed as words from God.
